We had a Mother's Day snowstorm that brought several inches of snow, brought down lots of our tree branches, and took our electricity for 18 hours. Here's a photo of some of the branches- the snow is already gone. This isn't even all of them since we had to cut up the largest branches just to move them!
Lincoln played a duet with one of the students, even though he is no longer taking piano lessons.
Prep time for Pirates of Penzance - poor girl had to have this every day!
But she had a great attitude about it.

For spring break, Marina and I had a project - to refinish a cedar chest. Here is the before shot.
And here is after. It is now our 'dress up' trunk.
Lincoln's and my project was to repaint a bathroom (painting merit badge = check). I really should have done a 'before' photo, but all I have is the 'after.' I can tell you this looks much better than bright yellow walls that are starting to peel!
I really, really love my new office view, and no more so when spring happened right outside my window!

We celebrated the Kentucky Derby this year by having Derby Brown sandwiches: turkey and bacon, on toast with alfredo sauce and tomato. There is nothing there I don't like!
Then, we had to dress up for the race. The men with 'staches, and the ladies with hats. You would never believe we made them ourselves!
