King of the Fairies and Pirates

Lincoln had a chance to perform A Midsummer Night's Dream with his 3rd grade class.  He played the role of Oberon, king of the fairies.  He did a great job  - here are some video clips of the show.

We saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean last night.  Of course, the kids have been pirates ever since.  We turned the bunk beds into a pirate ship, with the top bunk being the deck of the ship.  We put a huge beanbag next to the bed so they could 'walk the plank.'  Here they are re-enacting portions of the movie.

Bard's Birthday, Relay for Life, and Easter

It has been a busy few weeks!  Both Lincoln and Marina performed Shakespeare on the stage at the Shakespeare Festival as part of Bard's Birthday Bash.  We walked in the Cedar City Relay for Life (Lincoln did four laps!).  We also had a very nice Easter.  Take a look:

Ballet and Cousins Visit

Ryan got a new toy this week.  My dad made him a Tardis (for those who are not Dr. Who fans, it is a time-traveling space ship on the TV show).  It is so cool, and after a little playing, has a place of honor in Ryan's office at work.

Joseph! and the Pinewood Derby

For a Scout project, Lincoln made an art project about one of his ancestors.  Here is is picture of his Grandpa Paul.  It says, "Don Paul.  He loves Birds."

Lincoln also got to make a car to race in his first Scouting Pinewood Derby.
