Catching Up

Marina wearing her Las Vegas shirt in Las Vegas.  She is ready to fly to Maine for a summer of adventure!

Lincoln's school class - 5th grade
July 28 was my mom's 60th birthday, and we planned a surprise party for her.
Karlene made the cake

Grandma had help blowing out candles

Ella approved of the festivities

She was only a little embarrassed.

After the party, Kyle and Jax challenged me to a game of Sorry.  I didn't know their rules, so I am not sure who won.

Just before the kids came home, the Tour of Utah bicycle race came through Cedar City.  I watched part of the race go right by my office.  It was pretty exciting!
Then, Lincoln and Marina came home!
A belated birthday cake for Marina.  She might have had it after breakfast on her first morning home.  I won't tell.

Marina was helping us set up the bounce house by checking out how much room was in the bag.

Lincoln challenged grandma to a duel.

Not sure who won, but they had fun,

That duel looks pretty half-hearted, but who wants to duel when there is a bounce house?

What a cutie!

Jax always wants to play ball

What a sweet face!

Marina has a camera now - she likes Jax too.

Petra found a harmonica, so Ryan and Lincoln had to dance along

Marina and Petra found dressed and decided it was prom night

Then, we went swimming.  Marina just looks cute whatever she is doing.

Family night at the movies ended with Marina wearing the popcorn bucket home.

Now that many of Marina's princess dresses no longer fit her, there is no reason to have them go to waste.  Dr. Rapunzel Seuss.

First day of the 3rd grade
We attended our friends', Nikki and Kevin, wedding.  It was such a beautiful wedding, and Marina and Lincoln found their own fun.

The Happy Couple

Marina's and my annual trip to the Greenshow would not be complete without a lollie
Marina created a rock band, that is a band made out of rocks.  They are called The Eye, and they are quite literally a rock band with eyes.  I think it is so awesome!

Lincoln's birthday rolled around, and we had a lemon cake for him as requested.

No letters from Hogwarts, but I think it was a pretty good 11th birthday.

Right after he turned 11, Lincoln crossed over from being a webelos scout to being a boy scout.  He is very excited to start earning merit badges.

All of Lincoln's scouting awards, including Arrow of Light
