A stellar end to the school year

School is out and before we get too far into summer, here are the end-of-school-year happenings.

A visit to Salt Lake
Cousins off for a backyard adventure

Marina and Great Grandma Belnap

Marina and cousin Zane

More cousin adventures.  Something seems unfair about this picture!

Marina and cousin Rextin

Rextin makes the best faces!

Lincoln got 3 awards in the school awards assembly.

There was also a final band concert.

Marina's school class performed A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Marina was Puck (the mischievous fairy). Scroll down for some clips from the play.

So Cute!

Catching up from Mother's Day (when we had no power, no internet, and no way to upload these), Marina treated me to a mother's day concert.

Finally, here's Puck!

Spring snow!

We had a Mother's Day snowstorm that brought several inches of snow, brought down lots of our tree branches, and took our electricity for 18 hours.  Here's a photo of some of the branches- the snow is already gone.  This isn't even all of them since we had to cut up the largest branches just to move them!

A flurry of activities

Marina at her piano recital - 2014

Lincoln played a duet with one of the students, even though he is no longer taking piano lessons.

Prep time for Pirates of Penzance - poor girl had to have this every day!

But she had a great attitude about it.
And she looks great with curls!

Backstage, ready to perform!

The theater

The theater was overrun with British Pirates!

Everything is good as long as I have a [parasol/sword]

Playtime with Grandpa

For spring break, Marina and I had a project - to refinish a cedar chest.  Here is the before shot.

And here is after.  It is now our 'dress up' trunk.

Lincoln's and my project was to repaint a bathroom (painting merit badge = check).  I really should have done a 'before' photo, but all I have is the 'after.'  I can tell you this looks much better than bright yellow walls that are starting to peel!

I really, really love my new office view, and no more so when spring happened right outside my window!

Shakespeare's birthday flash mob - Lincoln and Marina are in there

Early Fathers Day presents

Happy Father's Day, early

"We Love You Dad" banner and those cute kids again!

We celebrated the Kentucky Derby this year by having Derby Brown sandwiches: turkey and bacon, on toast with alfredo sauce and tomato.  There is nothing there I don't like!

Then, we had to dress up for the race.  The men with 'staches, and the ladies with hats.  You would never believe we made them ourselves!

And closeups . . .
