How Time Flies

It's hard to believe that it's already March.  I have a number of photos that I have been meaning to post for some time now.

These photos are from our family trip to Las Vegas, right before the kids flew to Maine for Christmas.
Our December visit to the National Atomic Testing Museum.

At the Atomic Museum, there was an exhibit about Area 51.  This was the kids' favorite, maybe because they made a new friend.

We visited the Christmas display at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.  This is the indoor snowstorm.

The 50+ foot tree at Bellagio.
Then, I spent some time with family in Salt Lake City.  This is the elf display at Gardiner Historic Village.

The geese were VERY friendly with Kaden when they realized he had food in his hand.  They took his cracker right out of his hand, and Kaden just laughed and wanted another cracker that they could eat from him.

Our family project - a 1,000 piece puzzle.  Everyone helped!

Hat stealer!

Marina has been reading A LOT lately.  She usually falls asleep reading, and we couldn't resist taking this photo since she was so cute!

Lincoln and Ryan were able to see the Harlem Globetrotters perform, and Lincoln got an autographed basketball.

My office of 12 years is no more!  I have moved to a different building (same job) as we are constructing a new theater complex right where my office was.
But, the view from my new office is awesome!  I will have an office mate for the next two years, and then I'll have a private office again.

Lincoln has been doing very well with the trombone.

My sisters and I threw a baby shower for my sister, Trista.  We did a Dr. Seuss theme, and it turned out really fun!

Marina and Carter had a great time at the shower!

A good time was had by all!
Nana sent some St. Patricks Day finery.  The kids were certainly not pinched!

We took the kids to an evening of opera - three, one-act operas actually.  Marina's response afterward was, "why haven't you taken us to that before?!"  She loved it, and both Lincoln and Marina were singing excerpts from The Stoned Guest for days.

Marina and I attended a Pink Tea, a benefit for the women's crisis center here in Cedar City.  Marina drank her lemonade with her pinky up, but she did not care much for the actual pink tea.  The cookies were great though.
"Mom, make sure you get my fingers in the photo"

Then, a big day at work.  We broke ground for the new theater complex.  Lots of people, lots of work, and a little snow went into making this such a memorable day!

Lincoln and Marina attended their first concert.  It was a Beatles cover band followed by Kenny Loggins.  They both really liked the Beatles music, but were a little less keen on Kenny Loggins.  To be fair, it was past their bedtime.  Two hours earlier, they would have liked it much more.  Our seats could not be beat though - second row, off to the side.

The arena

We like the Beatles!

The main event, from our seats.  Right over the sound board, but we loved it!
The thing that has kept us the most busy has been rehearsals for The Pirates of Penzance.  Both kids auditioned and made it into the cast.  Marina is one of the Major General's daughters (one of 36!), and Lincoln is a pirate.  They perform April 9-14, and I'll post photos as soon as I get them.
